# C10 – Cosmological implications of first order phase transitions

### Abstract

The project is concerned with phenomena at the interface between particle physics and cosmology. In particular, we are interested in phenomena where the link between these two fields is established by a first-order phase transition. A first-order phase transition can lead to several cosmological relics as for example a baryon asymmetry, sizable gravitational waves or primordial magnetic fields. Ultimately, the analysis of these phenomena can yield valuable information on how the electroweak symmetry was broken during the evolution of the Universe.
